Micell's proprietary supercritical fluid technology consists of patented processes and methods for surface modification of medical devices with specific focus on improvements to current polymer-based drug-eluting technologies. Included in the technology platform are exclusively licensed patents from Battelle Memorial Institute, an international science and technology enterprise that both explores emerging areas of science and develops and commercializes technology. Micell's patented technology was developed in conjunction with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, a U.S. Department of Energy laboratory managed by Battelle.
